			Acquisition Logistics - 




Acquisition Logistics is everything involved in acquiring logistics support equipment and personnel for a new weapons system. The formal definition is "the process of systematically identifying, defining, designing, developing, producing, acquiring, delivering, installing, and upgrading logistics support capability requirements through the acquisition process for Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment.

Automatic Equipment Identifier - A transponder built into a container which transmits information about the container such as weight and container number for automatic update to a shipping database. Acronym: AEI

Automatic Traction Control - Usually an optional feature based on ABS, it prevents spinning of the drive wheels under power on slippery surfaces by braking individual wheels and/or reducing engine throttle.
